Making CMMS Sexy… Again?

Said no one ever. I recently walked into our leading Account Executive’s office and read on the white board, “MAKE CMMS HOT & SEXY AGAIN.” (Ok, so there was no period, but I’m writing a blog post and want to be grammatically correct.) The point is: CMMS or any Building Technology™ isn’t sexy. It’s never been sexy and in fact, when I think of the CMMS I want, I don’t want it to be sexy.

Keeping with the over-used metaphor we are ALL too familiar with in software, I want my CMMS to be the girl-next-door. Let me tell you why. . .

Maintenance management is real. It’s gritty. It’s what hardworking, jack-of-all-trades people do day-in and day-out for the success of their companies. Sexy? No, not sexy. Real.

MicroMain is Real

At MicroMain, I spend my day speaking with facilities directors and maintenance mechanics at schools, universities, home builders, hospitals, and manufacturers. You name the industry; I talk to them. To be the best at their jobs, they need a CMMS that is reliable, efficient, and one that saves them time and money in a demonstrable way. They aren’t interested in one that looks “sexy,” because once you peek under the hood, you begin to see that maybe —just maybe— looks aren’t everything.

MicroMain is Dependable

Regardless of the industry, a CMMS is a must have. When you’re partnered with MicroMain, you know your CMMS will be there for you when times get tough. You know that when you’re having a bad day and need to pinpoint exactly where something went wrong, you’ll be able to.

And finally…

MicroMain Understands You

You know that after a long hard day of work, when all you want to do is go home, drink a beer, and order a pizza, MicroMain will be right there by your side with a jumbo-sized slice with extra cheese and pepperoni. MicroMain won’t make you order gluten free crust, dairy free cheese, and ask that you substitute bok choy for your pepperonis because we’re real too— just like your girl next door.

So, next time someone tells you to “MAKE CMMS HOT & SEXY AGAIN” ask yourself, “Why?”
