Training

Training is critical to getting your maintenance or facility management database set up correctly. By learning the basics at the start of the implementation project, you and your organization will get up to speed quickly – saving effort, time, and money and minimizing problems down the road. Set yourself up for success by making sure everyone using the system is using it properly and in a way that works best for your organization.

About Training

MicroMain offers a comprehensive line-up of training opportunities to meet the needs of any organization. Training is offered for all products at the following locations:

  • MicroMain Training Center (Austin, TX)
  • Regional Training Centers (various locations throughout the US)
  • On-site (your location)
  • Online (via the Internet)

For a list of upcoming classes and locations, please consult the Calendar of Events.

To get your organization up to speed with your maintenance and/or facility management software, MicroMain recommends Basic Training for all of your primary users, which is best delivered on-site, whenever possible.

Some customers begin by sending one or more persons responsible for the implementation to MicroMain headquarters for Basic Training, then follow-up with customized on-site or online training as required. Having well-trained administrators and staff will ensure you get the most out of your system.

Once your system is up and running, we recommend Advanced Training, where you’ll learn more about reports and advanced features/add-on modules, as well as get valuable tips and tricks that will help you use your software more efficiently.

Choose Training to Meet Your Needs

  • Basic Training for Maintenance Management
Maintenance Management Basic Training is a 2-day small group class where each participant works hands-on at their own workstation. The class covers how to organize your maintenance data, navigation, and the main features of the system.

  • Advanced Training for Maintenance Management
Advanced Training is a 1-day small group class where each participant works hands-on at their own workstation. The class is guided by student questions and covers administrative functions such as system security, accounts, and utilities as well as advanced features and reports.

  • Basic Training for Facility Management
Facility Management Basic Training is a 2-day small group class where each participant works hands-on at their own workstation. The class covers organizing your facility data, space planning, personnel tracking, move management and the main features of the system.

  • Specialized Training
The advantage of specialized training is that you can often train using your own database – allowing you to ask very specific questions and resolve issues during the training. And if delivered on-site, you will have the ability to interact with your staff as needed during the training. On-site training is an excellent value if you need to pull in people who will only be using a small portion of the features or modules (e.g. someone in charge of keys, or your fleet manager). Specialized training delivered online or at the MicroMain Training Center is effective for organizations where the primary users are not at a single location.
