Basic Training for xmMOBILE
Mobilizing Your Maintenance Staff
You will save time and effort using PDA-based xmMOBILE™ from MicroMain to process work orders and inspections within your organization. Training focused on xmMOBILE enables users to get up to speed quickly and gain the skills needed to use this software to its fullest capacity.
MicroMain's hands-on training is designed to meet the needs of your users. Upon course completion, class participants will have the appropriate skills and knowledge to use xmMOBILE successfully.
Who Should Take the Course
This course is intended for maintenance staff and managers using xmMOBILE to process work orders and inspections. Supervisors overseeing those using the software are also welcome to attend.
Users with a basic understanding of processing work orders using MicroMain XM™ will gain the most from this course. No advance knowledge of PDA usage is required.
Where the Course Is Held
The xmMOBILE training course can be conducted at your site or at MicroMain's Training Center in Austin, Texas.
If you choose on-site instruction, please have MicroMain XM and xmMOBILE installed and operable at your site. One PDA per student is recommended. You'll also need a personal computer, with PDA software and hardware installed, that can access the MicroMain software and your database. MicroMain staff can help you complete this setup, if desired.
What Users Will Learn
Maintenance staff, managers and others participating in this xmMOBILE training course will learn to:
• Use a PDA, including understanding terminology and functionality.
• Create, update and close out work orders using a PDA.
• Create new work orders "on the fly" with a PDA.
• Design and conduct inspections, including ratings and measurements, using a PDA.
• Add notes and comments to help others understand problems or fixes.
• Upload data from a PDA to MicroMain XM.
• Use shortcuts for common processes.
