MicroMain Announces 2008 Users Conference
(March 31, 2008) AUSTIN, TX - MicroMain Corporation, a leading provider of asset and facility management software and services, today announced that its 8th annual Users Conference will be held October 7-8 in Austin, Texas. To kick off the conference, a welcome reception for all users and guests will take place Monday evening, October 6.
This year’s conference will be held at the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown, just a few blocks away from the 6th Street entertainment district. Special room rates are available for MicroMain customers. Discounts on the conference registration fee are also available for early registration, before August 25, and for customers with current maintenance/support subscriptions.
“In 2007 we sold out the conference and the special two-day basic training following the conference,” said Joe Brummer, Executive Vice President with MicroMain. “Based on demand, we tripled the number of seats for users to attend the in-depth post-conference training on our maintenance management software, and we were very pleased with the success of that program.
“Last year we also provided special post-conference training for a large customer with users from many different sites,” he added. “This year we’ll invite other customers to take advantage of the conference and stay on for a post-conference staff meeting or training. Of course we’ll also expand our regular conference activities, as well, including increasing opportunities for small-group discussion and networking.”
Users attend the annual Users Conference to learn about new software products and features, participate in tutorial training sessions, network with other users, and enjoy MicroMain’s special hospitality events. Many customers attend regularly.
Unlike most users conferences, MicroMain provides a Computer Lab that runs concurrently with the conference. Users enjoy coming to the Lab at their convenience to meet one-on-one with trainers and receive hands-on help at their own workstation.
Austin is a popular destination, and many participants arrive early or stay on for a few extra days at “The Live Music Capital of the World.” Users who extend their stay this year—for the two-day basic training course, a special company gathering, or for vacation—will have the opportunity to experience more of Austin’s cultural, recreational, and entertainment offerings.
