New Maintenance Training, Services from MicroMain
Customer Growth, Industry Requirements Lead to New Service Offerings
(February 28, 2007) AUSTIN, TX - MicroMain Corporation, a leading provider of
asset and facility management software and services, today announced new training and service offerings complementing its suite of facility and maintenance management software products.
Driven by customer requests, the new training classes and services meet not only basic needs from a growing customer base but also diverse needs spurred by industry requirements. In response to growing numbers of new customers, MicroMain has doubled its number of basic training classes held at the company’s Training Center in Austin. MicroMain has also expanded its on-site basic training to include hardware configuration as well as software installation and more database services—such as set-up, data naming conventions, data entry, and additional data conversion, as needed.
In addition to basic training, MicroMain is now offering more specialized training classes, as well. One of the most popular is on-site follow-up training after customers have used the software system for several months after go-live. Additional follow-up training offerings include refresher classes at MicroMain’s Austin or Chicago Training Centers or via the Internet. Specific customer needs are also driving specialized training, including purchase orders and inventory, fleet management, and asset tracking reflecting company-identified conditions, specifications, or risk assessments.
Industry requirements, particularly in reporting, have also increased the demand for specialized training in customizing reports. Because MicroMain ships its products with source code at no additional charge, customers are able to easily customize their own reports.
MicroMain’s specialized services have traditionally focused on computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) needs. While these have grown—particularly in mobile maintenance, service request management, and labor timesheet management—MicroMain has also expanded its services to address computer-aided facility management (CAFM) and capital planning and asset management (CPAM) needs. More customers are also taking advantage of MicroMain’s cost-effective customization services to obtain specific functional or interface enhancements aligned with their organizations’ needs.
“We’re excited to see more and more customers requesting our services,” said John Conroy, Vice President of Services and Training at MicroMain. “These customers realize the value of training their staff and positioning the software for rapid user adoption in order to achieve a rapid return on investment.
“Here at MicroMain, we’ve increased our offerings and hired additional staff to meet the growing demand for services,” he added. “Our goal is our customers’ success. With our new training and services, we believe we can help our customers succeed initially and continue to see gains in productivity and cost reduction over time.”
