MicroMain U 2014: Unleashed

Agenda And

Training Breakout Sessions Class Descriptions

Last year we added more opportunities for user-to-user interaction in addition to the in-depth topical training you count on. The tips and tricks shared by power users was very helpful and much appreciated. Look for opportunities to network and share your experience in San Antonio this year.

San Antonio Hyatt Meeting room

This year we will include interactive events that get participants on their feet and thinking about the future of facilities management. Last year several great ideas were suggested by participants. We’re planning to include many of these suggestions in this year’s conference. The MicroMain team is eager to gather input from users about their vision for the future of CMMS software. We’re listening! Contact us: info@micromain.com

Training Breakout Sessions Class Descriptions

San Antonio Hyatt reception area

The 14th Annual Users Conference, MicroMain U 2014: Unleashed, will be held in San Antonio, Texas from September 30 through October 2, 2014. This is an opportunity to take your skills to the next level. MicroMain Users Conference Training Classes include the following topics:

Work Orders (Basic)
Find out how to create, issue, update, and close out your work orders using MicroMain Maintenance software. Did you know that you can view specific work orders or change settings to display just what you want? Learn how you can work with work orders.

Preventive Maintenance (Basic)
Learn the basics of defining and scheduling preventive maintenance (PM) tasks in MicroMain Maintenance. This includes inspections for many organizations, so we’ll include inspection points as well. Did you know you could set up PM tasks by time (every month) or by meters (every 1,000 miles)?

Parts Inventory (Basic)
Find out how to set up and maintain your parts inventory using MicroMain Maintenance software. Did you know that you can clone parts, hide inactive parts, and find parts transactions in a log? You can also set preferred inventory calculation options.

Reports (7.5 Basic)
Learn how MicroMain Maintenance reports are organized so you can find the reports you want. Did you know you can export reports to Excel? Learn more about date ranges and filters that can also help you get exactly what you need.

Control Center (Advanced)
Find out how to use the Control Center in MicroMain Maintenance to manage Work Request options and Mobile options. The Control Center also includes the Security Administrator, which is optional; you can use Security if an Admin wishes to limit access to parts of the Maintenance program and types of access (full rights to read only).

Program Options (Advanced)
Take a look at the global and user program options in MicroMain Maintenance. Did you know that users could set their own starting view, property filters, and email settings? Global options set the formats preferred by your organization for work orders and purchase orders, and much more.

Mobile (Advanced)
MicroMain Mobile with a web browser lets you get work orders with smartphones, tablets, or any device with a web browser. You can create work orders on the fly and much more. See the latest features in Mobile and explore upgrade options.

Work Request (Advanced)
Learn how people in your organization can request maintenance work through web-based MicroMain Work Request. Your requesters can check the status of their work requests and even send notes to your maintenance techs. New admin options allow you to manage incoming requests as well.

New Software Preview (Basic)
This training “preview” allows you to see new MicroMain software and learn about likely release schedules. Interested in adding software or migrating to a new platform? Thinking about options for re-doing your current system? Let us know your thoughts – we look forward to talking with you.

What’s New in Maintenance 8.0 (Basic)
Learn more about the configurable Maintenance Management Dashboard and the new Scheduler, with drag-and-drop work orders to available labor. An option to auto-schedule PM tasks, the ability to view and attach images to work orders using Mobile, a new way to close multi-labor work orders, and more new features in Maintenance version 8.0 will be presented in this overview training.

New Labor Scheduler in Maintenance 8.0 (Basic)
The labor scheduler feature in Maintenance 8.0 allows you to drag and drop work orders to available labor on a week-by-week basis. Set default labor schedules and assign labor to shifts to easily see who is available when. Use the workload matrix for summary labor info such as number of assigned work orders and estimated time for completion.

Space Planning & Move Management (FM Basic)
Learn the basics of MicroMain Facility Management – software that lets you manage your spaces with data-linked drawings from your facility. This software also helps you manage people moves in and out of spaces.

Drawing Management (FM Basic)
MicroMain Facility Management software imports your facility drawings into the MicroMain database, giving you a visual view of your spaces and people occupying those spaces. Learn how you can manage your drawings – or have MicroMain provide that service for you.

Drawings/Data Reports (FM Basic)
The reports in MicroMain Facility Management software display your own floor plans, color-coded by department if you like, as well as summary space information. Additional reports give you information on people moves, too.

Talk to IT (Advanced)
This discussion session provides information to the people maintaining your network and MicroMain software. Interested in moving your MicroMain system to the cloud? MicroMain IT staff will answer questions related to on-premise installations and SaaS (Software as a Service).
