Last year we added more opportunities for user-to-user interaction in addition to the in-depth topical training you count on. The tips and tricks shared by power users was very helpful and much appreciated. Look for opportunities to network and share your experience in San Antonio this year.

The 14th Annual Users Conference, MicroMain U 2014: Unleashed, will be held in San Antonio, Texas from September 30 through October 2, 2014. This is an opportunity to take your skills to the next level. MicroMain Users Conference Training Classes include the following topics:

Upcoming Software Q + A
This breakout session invites you to ask questions about new MicroMain software – including the new multi-site/web-based CMMS – and learn about upcoming releases. What will be included in the new software? What are the improvements scheduled for current software? As a manager/primary user/tech/specialist, what would you like to see in MicroMain’s software that would help you in your day-to-day work? We look forward to talking with you.

What’s New in Facility Management v8
This training “preview” will let you see the work completed  including improved reports – in MicroMain Facility Management.  One of the upcoming features slated for version 8 is planning scenarios. Using MicroMain Maintenance and MicroMain Facility as one system with the same database is also in the works. Let us know what specifics would help your organization.

What’s New in Maintenance v8-Scheduler
The new labor Scheduler in MicroMain Maintenance is designed to help you plan out your work order scheduling, by shift, ahead of time. You will see which labor are available when and how the hours are committed for the work that needs to get done. Easy drag and drop features allow you to move work orders around within the scheduler. You can also an overview of labor and time – at a glance.

What’s New in Maintenance v8 – Dashboard
MicroMain’s new Dashboard in MicroMain Maintenance is now on your opening screen – letting you see, real-time, where you stand on important maintenance issues such as overdue work orders or high priority issues. Since everyone’s needs are different, the dashboard widgets are configurable. Learn how you can display only those most important to you.

What’s New in Maintenance v8 – Email Notifications
You are probably already using email within MicroMain Maintenance, but new built-in features now allow you to set up additional email notifications. This session will cover the notification basics, highlighting new options such as notifying labor when work request/work orders are at a particular status. Setting up emails for “service escalation” so that urgent work orders are handled in a timely manner is another new feature giving you notification options.

What’s New in Maintenance v8 – Power Reporting
You are the first to see new Power Reports, which will have its premiere at the Users Conference. This new option within Maintenance Reports allows you to use templates to export self-selected data to Excel. Power Reports gives you a way to see real-time, summary snapshots based on each Power Report template so you can see where you stand to date. You can also see the detailed datasets for each Excel template, which can be modified for your specific reporting needs. The end result is a summary snapshot and a specific report in Excel that shows the data you need – in a way you can repeat, modify, and present in multiple ways.

What’s New in Maintenance v8 – Mobile
New features in MicroMain Mobile include those for the basic work orders accessed via smartphone/tablet/laptop or desktop and also those for the Timesheet functionality within Mobile. One of the biggest new features is the ability to attach documents using Mobile – snap a picture and send it along with the work order completion. Other new features make it easier for techs and MicroMain admins/managers to communicate and streamline operations

What’s New in Maintenance v8 – Auto PM Scheduler
The new Auto Scheduler for Preventive Maintenance scheduling gives you the option to process scheduled PMs  automatically in MicroMain Maintenance. This session will cover the new feature and give an overview of the auto and manual way for getting scheduled preventive maintenance work orders into the hands of your techs. This session will also briefly cover PM workflows to help you use the options in the way that make the best sense for your organization.

Work Order How – Tos
Find out how to create, issue, update, and close out your work orders using MicroMain Maintenance software. Did you know that you can view specific work orders or change settings to display just what you want? Learn how you can work with work orders.

Getting the Most out of MicroMain Maintenance – Managers / Administrators
As a manager/administrator, you determine the way MicroMain Maintenance is set up for your organization and what workflows you need. You can set global-level options for Maintenance and also use the Security Administrator in Control Center to determine access for each user within Maintenance (which parts of the program and what kind of access such as read-only). What do you expect regarding email? Let the trainer know what issues and questions you have – so that the trainer can offer some pointers in getting more out of your system.

Maintenance Program Options and Control Center How – Tos
Take a look at the global-level and user-level program options in MicroMain Maintenance. Did you know that users could set their own starting view, property filters, and email settings? Global options set the formats preferred by your organization for maintenance, including purchase orders. Set options for Work Request and Mobile in the Control Center, where you can also regulate types of access (full rights to read only) within Maintenance.

Mobile How – Tos
MicroMain Mobile use a web browser to let you get work orders with smartphones, tablets, or any device with a web browser – including your laptop or desktop. You can create work orders on the fly, handle inspection points, send pictures/images and documents, and much more. See the latest features in Mobile and explore upgrade options.

Reports How – Tos
Learn how standard MicroMain Maintenance reports are organized so you can generate the reports you need for your organization. Learn how you can set date ranges – free-hand or by using built-in options– and use filters to display only the information you want related to the report. You can also set up “batches” of reports to save time.

Work Request How – Tos
Learn how people in your organization can request maintenance work through web-based MicroMain Work Request. Your requesters can check the status of their work requests and even send notes to your maintenance techs. New admin options allow you to manage incoming requests as well.

Preventative Maintenance How – Tos
Learn the basics of defining and scheduling preventive maintenance (PM) tasks in MicroMain Maintenance. This includes inspections for many organizations, so we’ll include inspection points as well. Did you know you could set up PM tasks by time (every month) or by meters (every 1,000 miles)? You can also use activities to help save time with repeated steps.

Parts Inventory How – Tos (Basic)
Find out how to set up and maintain your parts inventory using MicroMain Maintenance software. Did you know that you can clone parts, hide inactive parts, and find parts transactions in a log?

Talk to IT
This discussion session provides information to you or the IT folks maintaining your network and MicroMain software. Interested in moving your MicroMain system to the cloud? MicroMain IT staff will answer questions related to on-premise installations and SaaS (Software as a Service).

Facility Management Space Planning & Move Management
Learn the basics of MicroMain Facility Management – software that lets you manage your spaces with data-linked drawings from your facility. This software also helps you manage people moves in and out of spaces.

Facility Management Drawing Management
MicroMain Facility Management software imports your facility drawings into the MicroMain database, giving you a visual view of your spaces and people occupying those spaces. Learn how you can manage your drawings – or have MicroMain provide that service for you.

Facility Management Drawings/Data Report
The reports in MicroMain Facility Management software display your own floor plans as well as provide summary space information.  Drill down to the information you need regarding types of space and much more. Reports give you information on people moves, too.
