  • Setting up preventive maintenance schedules appropriate to risk in the clinical engineering environment

Assess Risks Accurately

The software’s risk assessment for healthcare equipment—often classified as Life/Safety, Critical Utilities, General, and Medical—offers independent scoring for both facilities and clinical applications. You also can utilize a date stamp for time of assessment and an identification field for the person last providing the assessment. Equipment that contains patient data is flagged to identify security issues related to HIPPA compliance so you can adjust your maintenance procedures accordingly.

If equipment falls under the Plan for Improvement (PFI), you can use the software to identify that and track when the equipment becomes compliant. MicroMain for Healthcare also allows you to identify the assets that are part of your Statement of Conditions (SOC) to ensure policies and procedures related to that equipment can be verified and checked easily.

Enhance Inspections

Using MicroMain for Healthcare, staff can complete inspections quickly and easily.  In addition to standard inspection points, the inspection forms include fields allowing for additional comments or instructions describing what to look for when evaluating the inspection point. 

You can also easily create corrective work orders from failed inspection points. These new work orders include standard or user-defined actions that provide detailed instructions for correcting the inspection failure.

For many inspections using handheld devices, drop-down pick lists ensure that data is entered correctly.  Date and time of the inspection is also captured automatically. Handhelds for inspections can by synched to the database by cradle or used wirelessly.


Improve Operations

MicroMain for Healthcare enables you to improve operations in many ways.

You can create work orders with a few mouse clicks. Send work orders to printers, Pocket PC devices, including to mobile phones, or via email. Manage multiple projects to meet deadlines, ensure cross-department communication, and keep costs within budget. 

You can also schedule preventive maintenance with easy calendar control and link to maintenance histories. Track assets, including current conditions of all healthcare equipment, areas, and vehicles. With this software, you can easily track inventory and issue purchase orders, too. 

Report on ComplianceSchool Maintenance CMMS Software

Timely, accurate reports are critical in healthcare. Top-level reports need to go to administrators, and detailed reports are used within departments. 

Many specific reports and action plans—recorded and updated on a regular basis—are required for regulatory agencies, such as JCAHO. MicroMain XM for Healthcare provides the data you need to accurately report your compliance requirements. 

In addition to the 400-plus standard reports in MicroMain for Healthcare, you can use filtering options to produce a virtually unlimited number of reports.  You can also create the specific reports you need. 


Customize with Open Source Code

MicroMain products are shipped “open,” with all source code included, allowing you to customize the software as needed. MicroMain does not charge extra for source code and believes each customer should be able to have complete control over the software.

Some customers customize on their own while others use third-party developers. Many customers prefer to have MicroMain provide customization due to our expertise, software proficiency and rapid execution in a cost-effective manner.
