Work Orders
MicroMain has a very extensive work order section, which allows you to assign labor, parts, tools, inspections, and more to each work order. Labor time and all costs are also tracked with work orders and are used in many standard reports. Multi-media files—including documents, diagrams, and pictures and audio/video—can also be attached to work orders to give more information about the asset associated with the work order.
In addition to sending work orders to a printer, you can also send work orders as text or as an attachment via email to smart phones. Send work orders and inspections to your maintenance technicians’ Pocket PC devices, too, wireless or not depending on your environment. You can also post work orders in a public folder in Microsoft Outlook.
To help manage your work orders, you can assign priorities to work orders, tasks, and projects to help define the urgency of the work to be performed. Automatic alerts also keep work on track. Our automatic notification system monitors critical events, triggers an alert when action is needed, and allows issues to be immediately addressed.
Customers appreciate the ability to memorize and recall work orders. You can also establish standard service details—such as assigned shop, priority level, labor time allotted, and description—to automatically populate work order fields for routine maintenance. Work order options also give you control in displaying only the tabs you desire. You can also determine your preferred email format, automatically print when issuing work orders, and show only the work orders you want by shop or property. Special flags on the work order form let you see, at a glance, whether the work order includes any attached documents, attached inspection points, has been downloaded to a mobile device, requires lockout/tagout procedures, or has an assigned asset under warranty.
In addition to standard work orders, you have the option of using Quick Tickets. These simplified work orders provide fast access to basic information only, such as description, priority level, single labor assignment, and work status.
Using our projects section, multiple work orders can be consolidated, tracked and closed together. This makes it possible to manage the work on multiple assets from one location while maintaining the integrity of each asset’s maintenance history.
MicroMain allows you to define a virtually unlimited number of inspection points for inspection work orders. Users can create corrective work orders from failed inspection points or can specify default corrective actions. You can also track the pass/fail percentage for individual inspection points. Many users take advantage of MicroMain's automatic alert when inspection point measurements are out of range based on specifications.
