Web Work Requests
MicroMain Web Request allows people to submit work requests and check the status of their work request via the Internet. Requesters can submit a work request or check its status—at any time and from any location—using a web browser from their desktop or a web-enabled handheld device such as a smart phone or Pocket PC.
Your administrators can create user accounts, specify security settings and defaults for individual users and guests, and manage the locations and assets available to requesters. You can also limit available properties, buildings, assets or services available to requesters through checkboxes in the MicroMain Maintenance Management program.
Because the interface is very simple, requesters can quickly complete the information required and accurately convey their request. This speeds up the task completion time, since maintenance technicians do not need to contact the requester to obtain additional information. The submissions automatically create a work request in the MicroMain database, so no data has to be cut and pasted into a new form or entered manually.
When web requests are submitted, the supervisor or other designated person can be immediately notified via email. Administrators can also have an email automatically sent to additional recipients, such as those associated with the asset or property noted in the work request.
This web request functionality increases user satisfaction since requests can be made easily and the work is completed accurately. Requesters especially appreciate being able to check on work status, including details such as priority assigned to the request or due date, at their convenience.
