Mobile Work Orders and Inspections
MicroMain Mobile eliminates the need for paper work orders and end-of-shift data entry. Using the software with a Pocket PC device, you save time and increase accuracy by accessing, updating, and closing out work orders electronically.
This functionality allows you to transmit work orders directly to maintenance technicians’ mobile devices. The technicians complete tasks and update the work order right at the point of work performance. At the end of the work shift, technicians upload their data wirelessly or through cable synching to automatically update the MicroMain database.
Using the software on their Pocket PC, technicians can track in/out time. They can also create new work orders on the fly, as they see additional tasks that need to be completed. If the Pocket PC has a barcode scanner, technicians can also scan an asset’s barcode to see all current work orders for that specific equipment displayed on the Pocket PC.
Inspections are accomplished quickly and thoroughly with this mobile functionality. You determine inspection points—including pass/fail, ratings, measurements, readings, and asset conditions—and maintenance technicians check boxes and enter values to complete the inspections using their Pocket PCs. The software automatically updates the date/time a point is inspected.
Mobile functionality is also available with some smart phone devices.
