Inspections
MicroMain allows you to define a virtually unlimited number of inspection points for inspection work orders, which allow you to check and maintain your assets. You can set up inspections for regularly scheduled maintenance or unscheduled/demand work orders. You can also set up preventive maintenance work orders to perform multiple inspections at one time.
An inspection point can be an asset’s specification or condition. When setting up the inspection point, you can set an allowable range for the rating or measurement. If the inspection is outside the allowable range, the inspection is marked “failed.” Many users take advantage of MicroMain's automatic alert when inspection point measurements are out of range based on specifications.
You can create corrective work orders from failed inspection points or specify default corrective actions. With MicroMain, it’s also easy to track the pass/fail percentage for individual inspection points.
Many customers choose to use mobile devices to save time and increase accuracy when conducting inspections. Maintenance technicians receive their inspection work orders via Pocket PC and then check boxes and enter values to complete the inspections. The software automatically updates the date/time a point is inspected.
