Fleet
While vehicles can be managed as any other asset, MicroMain includes comprehensive fleet management functionality for organizations with extensive fleets of vehicles. Fleet management includes vehicle assigment, tracking of fuel/fluid usage by vehicle, tire usage and history, and meter/mileage per vehicle.
Vehicles can be assigned to individuals or companies. A history of who used the vehicle is recorded – when the vehicle was checked out, when it is due back, the odometer reading at check-out/check-in. MicroMain lets you set an alert for late return of a vehicle if not returned or checked in by the due back date.
In addition, you can monitor the cost of the fuel, the quantity of fuel added, and meter readings. The fuel consumption and cost of a machine or entire fleet can be measured and adjusted. By keeping records of the fluids used by each vehicle, a company can calculate the vehicle fuel efficiency and create a fuel efficiency rating.
Fuel calculations involve both inventoried, fuels/fluids stored and managed on the facility, and non-inventoried, fuels/fluids purchased as-needed from a third party, e.g., gasoline purchased at a filling station. By tracking inventoried and non-inventoried fuels/fluids, you can assess if a vehicle is running at peak performance. If peak performance is not achieved, you can then take appropriate steps.
MicroMain also provides an interface for storing VMRS (Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards) codes and using them to manage and maintain your fleet of vehicles. With MicroMain you can create records for your VMRS codes and associate information including estimated cost, estimated time, account, and type of maintenance category with the codes.
