Assets and Asset Tracking
MicroMain allows you to enter an unlimited number of assets—areas, equipment, or vehicles—and track their histories and information. As an added convenience in entering multiple assets of the same type, the program includes a clone feature. This feature will allow you to enter basic information about an asset, then duplicate that asset and change the vital information to easily create a unique one.
With MicroMain you can assign assets to other assets in parent-child and family relationships. These hierarchical relationships allow you to more easily group assets for maintenance purposes and to move “bundled” assets from one location to another. MicroMain displays a graphical tree of your assigned hierarchy, so you can see your assets at a glance.
You can maintain complete maintenance histories for each asset, maintain tenant information for leased assets, track asset meter readings, and maintain a meter reading log. MicroMain also allows user-defined specifications for assets, such as nameplate data, date built, type of roof, type of filter.
You can also assign parts to your assets for easy reference. These parts can then be chosen from a shortened list of inventory options in the parts section of the work order.
MicroMain allows you to track asset warranties, too—so you’re able to manage warranties and see immediately if assets are currently under warranty. You can base an asset's warranties on dates, assigned meter readings, or a combination of date and meter reading.
MicroMain Asset Tracking expands your ability to track assets using the Tablet PC or Ultra Mobile PC. With the mobile PCs, your technicians use the software to enter asset data right at the asset location. Many customers use MicroMain Asset Tracking to take asset inventories at new buildings, create asset records from multiple sites, or update asset details throughout the your organization.
Using this software, you can note the location of assets, count assets, identify assets—such as nameplate details or specifications—and assess the current condition of your assets. You can also use barcode scanning to select assets or create new asset records. Once the asset tracking is completed, the data is easily uploaded to the MicroMain database.
