When did MicroMain get started?

MicroMain traces its roots to the mid-80s when Pat Conroy, now the president of MicroMain, wrote maintenance management software for the desktop for clients in retirement housing. In 1991, Mr. Conroy incorporated the company as MicroMain Corporation.

What’s your growth been like?

MicroMain started with three staff in 1991 and employs more than 30 today. The company’s first simple software product has now grown to two comprehensive products—MicroMain XM™ and MicroMain FM™—plus many add-on modules. MicroMain has won numerous awards as one of the fastest growing technology companies, based on significant revenue growth.

Who are your customers?

MicroMain’s customers manage hospitals, schools, universities, office buildings, manufacturing plants, military bases, retirement centers, distribution centers, resorts, hotels, sports arenas, airports, malls, and local, state, and federal government agencies and facilities. The company supports over 19,000 licenses in thousands of facilities worldwide.

Where are your customers?

The majority of MicroMain’s customers are in the United States. The company also has customers in Mexico and South America, Canada, Europe, Africa, Asia/Pacific Rim, and the Middle East.

In a nutshell, what do your products do?

MicroMain XM™ is a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)/ enterprise asset management (EAM) system. The software enables organizations to manage labor and resources used to maintain equipment, areas, and fleet. Hundreds of reports track assets, labor, time, maintenance deliverables, and costs.

MicroMain FM™ is a computer aided facility management (CAFM) system. The software enables organizations to utilize facility drawings linked to facility data. Data-enabled drawings allow professionals to better visualize their facilities and better manage space, assets and people. Many reports detail facility management data and costs.

Modules extending functionality utilize the Internet, Pocket PC devices, bar codes, enterprise networks, and more.
