MicroMain Inventory for Pocket PC
Increase accuracy by taking physical counts electronically
Instead of counting parts by hand, having maintenance technicians travel back and forth to pick up and drop off parts lists, and manually inputting all data, use MicroMain™ Inventory with your Pocket PC devices to streamline your inventory counts. Your technicians use the handhelds to enter counts and upload information electronically—wirelessly, cable synching, or both—increasing both convenience and accuracy. 
Easily Take Counts
With MicroMain Inventory, your maintenance staff use Pocket PCs to:
Download lists of current parts
Take a physical count of parts in an inventory location
Upload counts
This electronic transfer of information increases accuracy and eliminates the need to retype information entered on paper count sheets. Using their handhelds, staff enter the part counts, location, their name, and any comments. They easily enter the date using a simple calendar control.
Using the wireless option, maintenance staff can upload anywhere within the wireless "cloud" and update the database in real time. Your administrators control data access with managed user log-in accounts.
With the tethered option, maintenance staff use a cradle to update the database at the end of a count session.
Use Barcodes
Save even more time with barcode scanning using MicroMain Inventory. When your technicians scan a barcoded part, the part is automatically identified on the Pocket PC. After entering the count, the record is automatically created for updating the inventory levels in the database.
If you wish to barcode your parts, you can generate your own barcode labels. with MicroMain software. Create and print barcodes—automatically reflecting the control numbers assigned to your parts—using MicroMain Maintenance Management.
Track Adjustments
Use the actual part counts from your inventory locations to update the part inventory levels in the MicroMain database. To view adjustment details, check the transaction log, which records every adjustment made to a part’s on-hand level using MicroMain Inventory.
Variance reports will also help you compare the quantities and costs of adjustments. Of course, as with all reports, you can choose filters to generate the precise report you need; variance report filters include ABC code, account, control number, person who took the count, order unit, and location.
