MicroMain Asset Tracking
Improve efficiency with electronic asset tracking
Instead of keeping manual lists or spreadsheets for your asset inventories, use MicroMain™ Asset Tracking with your Tablet PC or Ultra Mobile PC to enter and update asset data electronically. Your technicians use the software with their mobile PCs to enter asset data right at the asset location. Then they can easily upload the data to the MicroMain database—increasing accuracy and efficiency throughout your maintenance operations.
Capture Asset Data
 With MicroMain Asset Tracking, you can accurately capture asset data as you take inventory, create asset records or update details. You can:
- Locate assets
- Identify assets
- Assess the current condition of your assets
Assets can be identified by nameplate details, including the manufacturer, model number and serial number. You can also enter asset specifications such as gauge settings and dimensions.
In addition, you can also:
- Record the asset count
- Change asset location
- Update an asset's meter reading
- Create records for storing meter information
- Assign meters to assets
- Create new assets
Use Barcodes
When taking inventory or changing the location of an asset, you can use barcode scanning to select assets. If the asset is already in the database, the barcode is found and the asset record is displayed automatically—ready for updating. When you scan a new asset’s barcode or control number, a corresponding asset is not found because it is not yet part of your asset inventory. You are then prompted to enter data for the new asset.
You can also assign barcodes or control numbers to assets with this software.
Easily Track Assets
With MicroMain Asset Tracking, you can easily track all of your assets using your Tablet PC or Ultra Mobile PC. With this software, it’s simple to:
- Count your assets
- Create new asset records
- Update your asset details
You can also track assets wirelessly. Once current asset data is downloaded to your Tablet PC or Ultra Mobile PC, you can take the device with you to a new building or other asset locations to enter or update asset data without being in the “cloud.” When your work is complete, the asset records can be uploaded wirelessly to the MicroMain database.
This software includes many options for setting default download filters to save time.
Improve Reporting
You can view all transactions through the asset tracking log. You can easily see:
- Every time an asset is counted
- When new assets are created
- All updates to asset location and identification
You can also sort and filter all transactions posted to the tracking log and print or email reports to others in your organization.
